My Refelction Week 8 Term 4

My Refection Week 8 Term 4
                               Maths
This week we have been learning how to round numbers. So lets talk about money $4.73c would be rounded down to $4.70c but if it was $4.78c it would be $4.80c but if you have a Credit card you can do $4.78c. I understood how to round up numbers it was fun so that activity was enjoyable. We have also been doing Estimating so we were roughly predicting the numbers to come up with our answer and we tryed our estimates to see if they worked.I found it a bit difficult though.
                             Reading
In reading we read Little Truff. It's an enjoyable storey. About a littl edog and Don doesn't like Little Truff. But Helen his wife does and they are having arguements about him :(

My Reflection Week 6 Term 4

My Reflection Week 6 Term 4
                               Maths
We did 25 maths questions I was the caller calling out the multiplication and division. I  found it quite easy. I could do each question answer in about three seconds or less I really enjoy doing this activity. I think we should do it more often.

                              Writing
We had to write an end of year piece of writing mine is called ‘’The girl who survived the desert walk’’ I tried to include as many gems as I could think of and I think I did paragraphs right.

                            Reading
I have started the tomorrow girls series and I think I will really like the series because it’s really hooked me in the first book only 26 pages in :) Thank you Mrs Bryant for suggesting this series to me :)

                       Passion Class

Camp Reflection

                      Camp Reflection

This camp was totally epic it was an awesome experience So where do I start? Ah yes, rotation 1 :)

Day One
Wow look at the view it's so cool I wonder what adventures await for me oh look there's a peacock said Kade's Mum. Kayla and I laughed our heads off in the back seat it was turkey haha!.

Rotation 1:Okay so I thought rotation one Orienteering was a bit boring partly because I wasn't understanding how to use a compass and it was all just a really confusing rotation but I did like walking back and we needed to take 135 steps backwards with our eyes closed and I wound up going right because I am right handed and some people wound up going left because they were left-handed.

Rotation 2: So our second rotation was the Mud Run it was very sticky and my head went under the sticky muddy water I came up to retrieve a breath it was deep in one patch nearly over my head I got lost a bit because I accidentally started running up the horse track! and ran past the jetty I was supposed to jump off but then I figured out where it was in the end.

Rotation 3: Our Next rotation was Horse Riding I was really nervous because I have only been led on a horse before never without a lead so I was a bit nervous we went on a trek my horses name that I rode was called Mosh she was a calm horse I was a bit nervous when I first saw her I started patting her and let her sniff my hand and I was a bit scared but then I became quite confident I hoped on the horse fine and off horse riding was one of my favourite activities to do. So now I know how to hop on a horse start a horse stop a horse and hop off a horse.

Rotation 4: Kayaking I was in a double kayak with Dareeya we kept getting stuck in the bushes so we learnt how to paddle our selves out of the sticky situation and it was fun but I didn't like getting stuck so much but kayaking was awesome but it did get a bit cold because it was our last rotation and we also did a walking on water activity where we put all the boats together and we had to try to walk across them one person at a time though and we had to hold all the kayaks together and the paddles a was a bit nervous walking across them because it was wobbly. The purpose of the activity was if someone got injured how to get them across safely so it was a fun activity.

The Talent Show!: The Talent Show was totally awesome. In my group there was Amy, Elana and I. We did a comedy act we had it a lot longer than it was on the night but we had it cut short. So here is one of the parts we didn't get to say there was quite a lot but it was probably a bit boring and I can understand why. Keira: I knit a hat for you do you like it?. Summer:  No Knitting was SO back in the 80s. But it was really fun and a bit nerve racking but the important thing is that we got up there and tried our best I think everyone did well and it was an entertaining night.

Parents Performance: The Parents all did a dance with masks on but the most hilarious thing about it was the masks were of Mrs Strathern Mr Gemmell and Mrs Hobbs and one of the parents that was Mrs Hobbs had glasses on poked through the eyes it was funny and at the end all the parents threw there masks to the children the was awesome.
Next Day...

Rotation 5: Rock Climbing it was fun I loved climbing up I made it to the top and got to ring the bell and I love being high up in the air and I am also quite scared of heights but this was really fun and I hope to to it again :)

Camp Fire:The camp fire was cool we got to roast marshmallows
and we got a biscuit but when you go close to the fire it was very painful and smoky in your eyes when you went to roast them the campfire looked so cool and we told eachother scary stories and sang songs it was an awesome night.

Rotation 6: Scavenger Hunt it was a bit boring our time was 26.23 Minutes it was fun and we got everything on the lsit I even picked up Horse Manure but it wasn't gross at all well that was nothing it's just picking up horse poo :)

Rotation 7: Raft Building this was absolutely amazing and super super fun and Mr Gemmell got a photo of me falling off backwards with my legs in the air and one of me still holding on  it was actually really painful and it stung like crazy but I still kept going and trying my best so I could enjoy the moment because I was having heaps of fun and I really enjoy looking at the photo of me falling of it's hilarious :) :)

Rotation 8: Slug Gun Shooting It was actually quite hard and I thought it would give you a shock when you shot it but it didn't and the bullets were small and you can only fit one bullet in at a time and we did a competition I came SECOND!... to last :) but I was still really pleased with myself for giving it a go :)

Tough Guy Challenge: Go! I walked through the water I didn't run because it hurt my feet but lots of people did walk so you could either do it for fun which I did or do it for a race I choose for fun because I like doing things for fun and not for the race there were lots of obstacles and it was really fun to jump over them and climb up them and at the end we got to go in the pool and it was hot and relaxed your muscles.

Movie Time: The Movie we watched was called Up it was an awesome movie I have watched it before and it was ad when his wife died but he still had fun with his life enjoyed it was cool when the balloons lift this house up in the sky and it was cool when they moved they moved here they put there hand on the mailbox with paint and there names and it fell over which was sad it was an awesome movie.

Burma Trail: It was awesome we had to hold on to the rope at all times so we didn't get lost you could go with the lights or no lights I was really scared but I went with what was outside my brain and went with no lights but it was still so much fun and I got really scared when Jo was in the tree really high up and she turned on the light and made a frighting yell and I screamed my lungs out and then I heard something rusting in the bushes then something clutched my leg I let out a little yelp then I heard the other group scream and I scream as well it was really fun but actually scary we just went to spookers! no I am joking I haven't been to spookers but spookers is probably scarier and I hate to think about but I know it's all pretend but is it not! :)

Next Day..

Goodbye peacock! Goodbye camp goodbye cool adventures I have had.

Hot Pools: Ah so hot and nice after all the activities hot pools make me sleepy but it was so  nice and I couldn't feel my legs it was like a tingly sensastion and there was also a little water fall there to and one of the parents jumped off the waterfall it was hilarious and I had a great time I will remember these experiences for life and maybe do some of them again some day :)

Finally I get to say this THE END :)

My Reflection Week 10 Term 3

My Reflection Week 10 Term 3
WOW!!!! I am flabbergasted it's the end of the term wow that flew past so quickly like a bird flying at full speed, was that a simile?. Wow, I think that was a simile or it might have been a cliche but either way that's what we have been learning about in Writing this week. Here is some of the story I started writing this week. It's called ''My Nightmare'' The polar bear was walking to me in slow motion with every step it took it was threating me. I began to sweat with fear and it fell of my chin into a puddle it was like I was crying but I wasn't. The Book Challenge right even though I have only read 31 books doesn't mean I still can't finish the challenge if I read a book a day I will probably able to finish it I am going to try read a book a day because I really want to complete it because last year I didn't so it would be great to do it this year. For Maths we have been doing decimals fractions and percentages there were three columns and we had to say the percentages and decimals and fractions.

Term 3 Review

                          Term 3 Review
This Term has been probably been one of the best terms this year I think I have improved in all subjects

My Reflection Week 9 Term 3

My Reflection Week 9 Term 3

In Maths we have been learning about fractions Equivalent fractions and Reading decimal fractions we got a worksheet about it I didn't understand any of it but someone from my group helped me then I understood it a bit more.

In Reading, I read Cassie's Crush It was about this girl and she liked a boy called Ollie and she risked her life for him she climbed  up onto a roof to spy on Ollie then someone saw her and started screaming and she called the police and the police couldn't get her down so they called the fire brigade because they have big ladders so that was a lot of drama.

(I wasn't here on Thursday)
Thanks For Reading :)

My Reflection Week 8 Term 3

My Reflection Week 8 Term 3
This week has been a very busy week because of production we have finished all of our four performances!. I think everyone did very well in our production and the best part about it EVERYONE had a role to play. I was sort of sad when we had to take down background but I still enjoyed it very much.

In Maths we have been learning about fractions I get more and more of an understanding each time we go down to the mat in groups for maths rotations. I have also been doing some fraction activities on Mathletics.

In Reading, I have read Dessert Diva by Carrie Bright. It was about this girl called Maddy and she ate heaps of desserts at least two or more of the school lunch menu and she wanted to be on a health kick diet and she wanted to be fit but she had a bit of trouble trying to eat just fruit and vegetables and some meat.

Thanks for taking the time to read my Week 8 Reflection.
