Kahiketea Music Performance

In Term 2 we did a music performance I wasn't in the performance because I was sick I still did all the practices up to the performance though I was going to be a singer I think everyone did a brilliant job. Here Is The Video of our performance.

In Maths we have been learning about fractions Equivalent fractions and Reading decimal fractions we got a worksheet about it I didn't understand any of it but someone from my group helped me then I understood it a bit more.

In Reading, I read Cassie's Crush It was about this girl and she liked a boy called Ollie and she risked her life for him she climbed  up onto a roof to spy on Ollie then someone saw her and started screaming and she called the police and the police couldn't get her down so they called the fire brigade because they have big ladders so that was a lot of drama.

               My Reflection Week 8 Term 3
This week has been a very busy week because of production we have finished all of our four performances!. I think everyone did very well in our production and the best part about it EVERYONE had a role to play. I was sort of sad when we had to take down background but I still enjoyed it very much.

In Maths we have been learning about fractions I get more and more of an understanding each time we go down to the mat in groups for maths rotations. I have also been doing some fraction activities on Mathletics.

In Reading, I have read Dessert Diva by Carrie Bright. It was about this girl called Maddy and she ate heaps of desserts at least two or more of the school lunch menu and she wanted to be on a health kick diet and she wanted to be fit but she had a bit of trouble trying to eat just fruit and vegetables and some meat.

In Term 3 2017 we did Kahikatea team production. We only had 8 weeks to produce the play but we would usually have 10 weeks so I think we did pretty well in fact.My role in the production was being a bird I had three lines and I was SO nervous. But I think I did really well and I am proud of myself.

This week in Maths we have been learning about fractions and decimals we have been learning to plus decimals so this a question using algorithms to plus decimals..780986413.And the third line is the answer 123956456.

                            Reading  

In Reading on Monday I finished the book ‘’My Big Fat Teen Crisis’’I would rate it a five out of five-star rating it was such I good book I am also reading ‘’Vicky Angel’’ It’s a really good book too.

                               Maths

In Maths I have been learning about Place Value for Division and Times Tables. If it’s Division you take the zeros of and if times tables you put the zeros on my thumb for that would be in the middle because I get the concept of it but I think it might need to be explained to me again :) I have 1816 points on Mathletics!

                               Reading

So I went to the Waipa District Library Blah Blah Blah to make a long storey short I Found the book in the waipa district library I have been looking forever it’s called Are You There God It’s Me Margaret. And I read it and it was totally awesome!!!!!!!. Now I am reading the Taming Of Lilah May and it’s A really good book to I am really enjoying it.

                             Writing

We have not done any writing this week but at team time we did listen to Emily Brown’s Speech And Quinn Hagen’s Speech!.

                          Spelling

I Have The Spelling Bee Waikato Lists And I Am Going To Try And Do ALL The Words on the spelling list I like doing Spelling sometimes I do it for about an hour because it helps practise my handwriting and it helps with my Writing and understanding of words I don’t actually mean to do it for an hour but as they say time flys by when you're having fun!

This Afternoon we have Cross Country I sort of like Cross Country but i sort of don’t I like running but not long distances that much but I am still excited and I’m going to give it my best shot :)

                                                 Intro

Yay! Back To School. I LOVE School And I Am SOOO Excited To Be Back :) Here Is A Reflection Of My First Week Back Week 1 Term 3!

                                                Maths                                             

In Maths We Have Been Doing Times Tables Like 730x1200 Here Is My Understanding Of It. 730 x 1200 So We Go 7x1=7 Then 3x2=6 Then We Plus Those Two Equations So 7+6=13 Then We Add On The Three Zeros Because 730x1200 Has Three Zeros So We Had On The Three Zeros To The 13 So The Answer 13000 According To Me :)

                                            Writing

In Writing, We Have Been Learning About Nothing Da Da Dahh But We Have Been Learning About Emotions We Had To Write Down All The Emotions We Could Think Of Our Group Thought Of Twenty Two Emotions. It Was Sort Of Hard Because You Were Being Pressured By The Four Minutes Of Time And Everyone Was Chattering Loudly But It Was Still A Very Fun Activity.

                                       Reading

I Did Read Quite A Lot In The Holidays I Am Reading A Book Called Lilah May’s Manic Days. It’s A Good Book It’s About This Girl Called Lilah May And She’s Really Angry Because Her Brother Ran Away From Home And He Was Living On The Streets For Two Years. But He Finally Came Home But When He Did He Spent Most Of His Time In His Room. Some Nights He Didn’t Even Come Out For Dinner. Jay Wasn’t The Say When He Got Home. So They Had To Have Lots Of Family Counselling Nights. Then One Night Jay Brought This Girl Called Spud Home And She Was Forcing Him To Do Drugs And When They Were On The Roads At Night They Would Ask People For Money And Conning Them That’s What Spud Was Good At But In The End, Spud Went Back To London To See Another Boy And Jay Stopped Doing Drugs But He Was Aloud To Keep Doing One Drug But He Had To Stop The Rest He Keeped Smoking. And This Was All Around Christmas Time And Jay Got A Car But There Were Three Conditions To Having The Car And. Jay Was Normal Again Like The Good Old Days.

                               Maths

In Maths we have been learning about division I finally got the hang of it! So now I can show you an example of what I have learnt for division! So lets say we were doing the equation 78➗6 so we need to find the times table to 78 or the closest times table to 78 6x13 is a times table and it eqauls 78! and there's no remainders so our answer is 13! yeah! I am sooo happy I finally got the hang of it Yeeesss!.

Writing

For Writing we had to do a writing sample I think it was last week or the week before I honestly can't remember but I don't think I wrote about it in any of my reflections so I will talk about it now. So this storey is about the naughty Mr Gemmell again nah just joking :) Anway hey threw the test in our face will no he don't not throw it at our face he just past it to really nicely and guess what he was smiling! So I took out my penciland began tapping my pencil on the table eagerly. And I think I did a bad job and don't think I included any gems maybe one or two? but yeah. It wasn't to bad :)

Reading
I thought it would be a good idea to put this into reading instead of writing yepyou know exactly what I am going to talk about I will say it on the count of three. 1...2....3 Speeches! I read my speech to the class on Wednesday I was shaking myself to death my legs were shaking my cheecks were going bright red well it felt like it my cheecks were burning but it was fun. I had a little made up song in my speech and I sang it!. I am still reading a girl called Harry! bad idea to read it while the book challenge is going but never mind :).

This Week has been a strange and sad week for me

                                Maths

For Maths we have been learning about division Mrs Bryant put on a video to learn how to do basic division if you want to view it here’s the link Basic Division Here is an example let's say we were doing 27 # 4 I could not find the division sign so I put this # so 27 4  the closest times table to 27 is 4 x 6 = 24 so let's say there are 4 kids and they each get 6 cookies so they each get 6 and that would equal 24 so the answer would be 24 with a reminder of 3 I think I am pretty sure that’s how you do it I might have missed out a step! But that’s what I think the answer is actually I think it might be incorrect! But that’s alright at least I had a try!

                                        Writing

For Writing we have been doing speeches my topic is Just Because We Can Does It Mean We Should? I am actually starting too like speeches but at first I absolutely HATED speeches! They are the WORST THING IN THE WORLD!! Speeches don’t you dare try to pesuade me to like you!. HaHa. So Anyway I have written my first paragragh yah hoo ! (Nearly) My first paragragh was about drinking I really really wanted to include smoking but I just couldn’t because I found it hard :)

                                       Reading

For Reading I have read 10 books for the 50 book challenge yah-hoo! I read dork diaries as one of my books and when I got home from the library I realized that dork diaries was a snack book So any way I read it andto my suprise Mrs Bryant Accepted it !!! I knew Mrs Bryant wasn’t going to be to mean to me. And I was only aloud one snack in the book challenge. I LOVE the book challenge :)
